Police in the United Kingdom are looking into the first case in history of an alleged gang rape in a virtual reality game after a 16-year-old girl was s**** attacked in the online metaverse.
For starters, an online virtual reality video game is basically the application of a three-dimensional (3D) artificial environment to computer games. Virtual reality environments are created with VR software and presented to the user in such a way that they supersede the real-world environment, creating a suspension of disbelief and helping the user experience the VR environment as real.

Users can play VR games on smartphones, PCs, laptops, and gaming consoles. VR gaming control may involve a standard keyboard and mouse, game controllers, and motion capture methods.
As per the reports that were shared online, the 16-year-old was left surprised after her ‘Digital character’, as explained above, was gang ra*** by online strangers.
The young teenager who was wearing a virtual reality headset in an immersive game when she was allegedly raped by a group of men didn’t sustain any physical injuries, only major shocks and psychological traumas as one who had been done so in real life because when one is in session, thus the game, it is always like you are in the real world, and that becomes hard to brush off.
A meta-spokesperson addressed the situation, saying that it doesn’t have a place in their area of specialization.
“The kind of behavior described has no place on our platform, which is why for all users we have an automatic protection called personal boundary that keeps people you don’t know a few feet away.”
