Robert Nagila, partner to the late Rita Tinina has shared a heartfelt tribute in remembrance of her during scheduled memorial service at the Holy Family Basilica.

Speaking during the event, Robert Nagila revealed that Tinina’s passing not only left a huge void in his heart, but left him heartbroken.

“Last Sunday, your phone stopped ringing. Your passing has left a void that cannot be filled. But I am comforted with the fact that the memories of time spent will leave on with us.” Robert Nagila said.

Details of Rita Tinina’s burial revealed days before private ceremony

Nagila went on to shower the late Tinina with praise for being a good partner, mother and friend. According to him small things like her catchy smile, heartfelt laughter and warm words are some of the things that drew him closer to her.

Rita, when our paths first crossed your beauty, hearty laughter and warm words touched me. You were also the most stubborn person I ever met, principled in your beliefs. Nagila went on.

Having been a friendly person, Nagila pointed out that she was a loved woman, who managed to bring everyone together – even after her passing.

We all spend our lifetime chasing a legacy that we hope to be remembered for. It is remarkable that I find Rita Tinina established her legacy just shy of her 46th birthday. We are all here because Rita impacted our lives in a special way. He said.

Rita Tinina as a mum

Looking at the little girl Tinina left behind, Robert Nagila reassured Mia Malaikah of how much she was treasured by her mum.

My dearest Mia, your mother loved you more than anything else in this world. You were her best friend her confidant,” Robert Nagila said.

And every single thing she did was centred around you and your future. Know this, You are loved so much and there is nothing we would not do for you. He went on.

Although death robbed him blind, Robert Nagila urged family and friends to celebrate the legacy and life Rita Tinina lived instead of mourning.

“It is my prayer as we travel to Narok, and I say this with a very heavy heart, a final farewell that all we go to celebrate her life.” Nagila added.

Tinina will be buried on Wednesday, March 27 in Narok at the family’s home, Noosupeni Farm Olokirikirai
