Mnafanya Kazi Mbaya Sana ~ Zuchu, Haji Manara Amongst other Tanzanians Criticize their Power Lightning Company for Blackouts

Tanzanian artist Zuchu and spokesman Haji Manara criticize their Tanzanian Lightning Company, ‘Tanesco’, for keeping them in the dark the entire night.

Speaking through their Instagram pages, Zuchu shared a statement saying they are doing shoddy work as a company collectively.

Translation: “You are doing a very bad job. Life has become unbearable in Tanzania because of you.” Zuchu’s statement read, tagging the company in the post.

Haji Manara, on the other hand, recorded a video trying to address the critical situation that Tanzanians are going through, complaining that they have made him spend a fortune refilling his generator that doesn’t run unless topped with at least 300 liters of diesel fuel, which is quite expensive.

“You’ve kept us in the dark since yesterday; from midnight up until now, there’s still no electricity… What kind of electricity disappears from yesterday up until now, and you guys are just sitting there doing nothing?

Why do you want to make the country a living hell and make people go against their own government?” Manara lamented.

Some even suggested that there should be a couple of companies so that there are options in case something like this happens.

Whereas others suggested that the company should have given them a heads-up that there will be a blackout, the same way Kenya does, so that they plan and strategize accordingly to avoid being inconvenienced.
