Artist K Cent shot in broad daylight in Nairobi’s CBD area (Video)

Kenyan local artist K Cent popularly known for his art was allegedly shot twice by a police officer in broad daylight at Nairobi’s CBD as reported.

The local artist allegedly got into a heated argument with the police hence ending up with two gunshots, one on the neck and another on his arm.

According to his brother Obunaka the DJ, the alleged police had requested K Cent to move from a spot he was hustling from, but the artist refused – posing questions to the officer; who in return pulled out his gun threatening to shoot K Cent, before opening fire.

As reported by Obunaka, his brother was then taken to Central police station before moving him to Kenyatta National hospital where he is currently admitted.

Follow up

Speaking to SPM Buzz’ Silva Kido, Obunaka revealed that the police have since denied knowing who the shooter is.

However they claim to have opened an investigation that will help identify the person’s behind the incident.

So far K Cent is receiving treatment at the KNH after undergoing surgery to remove the two bullets in his body.

From what Obunaka the DJ said is that his brother has proven to be fighter despite having been in critical condition – judging from his swollen head.

So far the police remain silent on the matter but Obunaka’s family on the other hand continue to ask for justice especially since there are witnesses who identified the shooter as a well known police officer at Central police station.
