Published on

Everybody knows what it means when one’s pregnant. When one is pregnant there seems to be a change of body especially physically and emotionally, it’s very obvious that you will add weight because you are carrying a life inside you.

Although, some end up gaining too much weight than what they had initially thought they should gain.

Below I have some tips that will help you, or you’d recommend a friend to follow if they don’t want to be in a such a position.

1. Have a balanced diet.
A balanced diet simply entails a meal that has at least 5 portions from variety of fruits and vegetables it is generally balancing your meal when you are taking it there’s some vegetable, fruit, a little bit of protein if necessarily and take foods rich in fiber as well.

This will help you maintain a healthy weight procedure the entire time you are pregnant because you have managed it.

2. Hydrate.
This means taking not just water because you are thirsty but have enough of it as this will help in keeping you in that body, roughly 8 glasses of water a day will help.

Staying hydrated will help the body in digestion hence won’t leave the foods piling up, it reduces swelling and does help in fetal development.

3. Have enough sleep.
This is actually very important when you are pregnant. If you don’t sleep enough then this may give you stress as you will always feel tired and that there will be your leak point to gaining weight.

8 hours of sleep a day will help.

4. Exercise Regularly.
Doing regular exercise can help maintain a healthy weight during pregnancy and improve your health status, as you will be burning calories daily from the fatty foods you’ve taken the whole day.

You can jog a little not much really, take an evening walk, swim with the help of someone and maybe a little yoga if you can this should be daily and at least 40 minutes a day.

5. Consider talking to your Health care provider.
If you see a change in your body, always reach out to one of the Health care specialties and ask them what you should do and what you ain’t doing right.

They will advise you accordingly to get back to being you.

6. Don’t miss meals.
As far as you are working to lose weight it doesn’t mean that you are going to miss meals intentionally or even go to the point of fasting a day maybe!! No. Remember, you have a child growing inside you and the worst you can do is not take anything.

Take three meals a day as long as you adhere to making it a balanced diet and have enough portions, don’t over do.

7. Avoid processed foods and sugary ones.
These are foods that are high in calories and low in nutrients and will help in gaining weight during pregnancy.

Consider taking meals that are high in nutrients.
