Tanzanian gospel artist Christina Shusho has shared what has kept her relevant in the gospel industry.
Speaking to the press after she had arrived in Kenya, she said that the secret behind her relevancy in the gospel industry is the fact that she has always known God and doesn’t fake her lifestyle.
According to Christina Shusho, not faking her lifestyle and being herself has helped her remain relevant in the game because one would know when she is down and when she is doing okay, adding that it gets easier for people to stick with you because you don’t pretend and you are always real. Unlike those who fake their lifestyle, which makes it hard for them to be considered real and remain relevant,
She also shared not being one who puts makeup and other ointments on their face.
“Munijue tuh nikiwa down munione nikiwa down nikilia mjue nalia ili mjue na mimi ni mwanadamu… Hiyo unasurvive….
Lakini ukieka kila kitu aty kiko kiko sawa watu wanakuanga hawawezi kuamini unapatanga shida.”
This acts as a disadvantage to them, as per her, because people can’t really take you seriously, even when you are.
“Ambacho kimenisaidia niwe hapa nikumjua Mungu kumpenda Mungu na kukubali niwe Mwanadamu ili Mungu anisaidie.”
She also responded to the question on why she has started giving advice to people, saying it is because of her age that she feels that she also needs to guide others.
