Football lovers from all walks of the country made their way to the Kenyatta International Convention Center to join in the historic landing of the world cup trophy. The trophy is on world tour ahead of the FIFA World Cup tournament to be held in Qatar in November.

DJ MOZ, who is a TV host and the leader of Kubamba Krew (K-Krew), was in attendance. He said that this visit was a privilege and a big deal as it’s the most prestigious cup in the world. The Liverpool fan is one of the top most Gospel Djs in the country.

The trophy was received by President Uhuru Kenyatta at Statehouse, Nairobi where he said that the trophy would act as an inspiration to the country’s football fraternity.

Kenya was among the 51 chosen African countries in which the trophy would visit. The World Cup trophy is a golden trophy that is awarded to the winners of the FIFA World Cup association football tournament.

Kenyans lined up mainly to take a personal look at the trophy and hopefully get a chance to take photos with it.

Sports lovers like John Karanja, who says he’s a Manchester United fan, brought his kids to this event, which he says would serve to support their talent.

Various sport games including penalty games were set up for the fans to take part in and have a great time.

According to the Federation Internationale de Football Association, they have partnered with Coca-Cola to offer fans the opportunity to experience the trophy ahead of the tournament.

“The real magic of the FIFA World Cup exists with fans believing in their teams and showcasing their passion for the game.”

Kenyans were so much thrilled to have a look at the trophy.
