“Alikuwa mlevi” Ofweneke explains why he does not owe Stoopid boy an apology

Published on

Dr Ofweneke has not been having it easy with Gen Z fans leaving comments and DMs asking him to apologize to Stoopid boy following his recent remarks.

It all started with Ofweneke taking a swipe at Stoopid boy for cancelling his interview with the comedian last minute.

This being unprofessional, Ofweneke on the other hand overreacted – and ended up saying some ‘not so pretty statements’ directed to the young artist.

In response, Stoopid boy hit back calling out the media personality for trying to use his brand to make money – yet was not willing to pay him for the interview.

Unapologetic

With the back and forth between them, Ofweneke has now explained the reason he went off at Stoopid boy – saying the guy played him.

According to Ofweneke, the young man started making the demands last minute instead of having approached him earlier to see what they would agree on.

Apart from that – Ofweneke says Stoopid boy was already drunk by the time his team reached out to see how far he was from their studios.

Responding to a fan asking Ofweneke to pay artists for interviews, the comedian explained himself saying;

What you guys don’t know is, He agreed to the interview in the beginning, he asked for transport which was ready to and fro for him. No host pays artists for interviews, it wasn’t a performance. It was an interview, so when called on how far he is, he said he has to be paid, last minute and that he doesn’t need us – we need him and has 2 million views so tutoke kwa simu yake tukimaliza…..and he was drunk…to be honest guys, to be honest. Ofweneke wrote.

The debate regarding artists getting paid for interviews continues online as many question whether the same artists will agree to pay for interviews when asked to….or will this turn out to be a matter of double standards?
