Speaking through a video he shared online, he asked Dr. Ofweneke to apologize to the uprising artist Stoopid Boy because he felt like he was exploiting him and, in return, offer him nothing because Stoopid Boy was going to add value to his show, and the least he should do is ensure that he also spares a few coins for the young artist rather than calling him out.

In my take, on the issue regarding Dr. Ofweneke and the young artist Stoopid Boy I clearly believe Dr. Ofweneke was wrong in this because when they call people in their shows you people monetize you get paid you get rewarded with royalties be it YouTube be it TikTok…. So I don’t see the problem with the young man asking for money in order to come for the show.” Steve Mbogo explained.

Why Hosts Should have an Agreement With the Interviewee before the Interview

He goes on to remind all media personalities that, going forward, there should be an agreement between the host and the interviewee because they do make money out of the interviews and it is only fair to share some with those who are bringing value to their show.

For all media figures, gone are the days when you would bully people to give content on your own accord… Today, young people are capitalizing on what we call the third industrial revolution, which is the revolution of internet things.

In fact, if I were in parliament today, I would’ve brought forward a bill saying that if you’re called to be in any interview, you need to have an agreement with the interviewer or presenter in terms of the earnings of the royalties because you people earn money,” Steve Mbogo shared.
