Dj Shiti Opens up on dealing with depression

Published on

Kenyan comedian and content creator Dj Shiti has opened up about how to deal with depression as well as why he has never been depressed.

Speaking in an interview with Obinna TV, Dj Shiti opened up, saying he has never been depressed because what life has shown him has put him in a state where he has learned to appreciate life more and not see suicide as an option to run to.

He advised all those battling depression to consider viewing things differently, as that is the only way it will not strike them.

He shed some light on the matter, saying that as much as the topic of depression is sensitive and deep, some things that cause depression are things that can be solved and thus worked out before someone resorts to doing the unthinkable. He urged creatives and artists to consider looking at things differently and exhausting the options they have before resorting to doing the unthinkable and taking their lives because they have hit rock bottom.

Most of the stories zenye zinapatia wasee depression ni vitu zenye wanaeza solve. Mostly entertainers, wako depressed kwa vitu wanaeza change na kuna solutions nyingi sana wanaeza pata.

Dj Shiti insisted that he finds it strange why people tend to commit suicide when they are alive and healthy, sharing an example of people battling in hospitals who are praying day and night to be in the position they are in, reminding them they should consider embracing the gift of life they have.
