CS Kithuri Kindiki Declares Monday the 13th of November a Public Holiday

Kenyan Cabinet Secretary Kithuri Kindiki has declared the 13th of November a public holiday so that Kenyans can take part in an environmental activity.

The Cabinet Secretary said that Monday will be a public holiday so that people can take the opportunity and moment to plant trees all over the country.

Kindiki said the activity will be lead by the Kenyan President so that the dream of working towards having planted 10 billion trees by the year 2032 would have been fulfilled.

“In exercise of the powers conferred by section 3 of the Public Holidays Act, the Cabinet Secretary for Interior and National Administration declares Monday, 13th November, 2023, a public holiday in which the public shall be engaged in tree growing countrywide”

The tree planting exercise will also be marked across the 47 counties presided over by Cabinet Secretaries and Governors, where all Kenyan citizens and the general public shall be expected to participate.
