Ababu Namwamba Hosts Head Of Missions Africa For Breakfast Strategizing for the Upcoming#YouthConnektAfricaSummit2023

Kenyan Cabinet Secretary Hon. Ababu-Terrah hosted the Head of Missions-Africa Breakfast meeting as part of the preparations for the upcoming #YouthConnektAfricaSummit2023.

It featured an array of excellencies, high commissioners, dignitaries, heads of state agencies, corporate leaders, and a set of representatives drawn from across Africa.

While moderating the opening session, Secretary of Youth Development @rochieng acknowledged the event as an African event designed by Africans for Africa.

He expressed optimism about a successful event ultimately. Addressing the forum, Amb. Yabesh Monari, Director, Africa and AU Directorate, Ministry of Foreign and Diaspora Affairs, acknowledged Kenya’s zeal, determination, and swift action towards hosting the upcoming edition.

PS Ismail Maalim reiterated the key goals of the Pan-African event, noting it as an opportunity for Africa to come together and forge a greater and more prosperous agenda for the young people.

In his address, CS Hon. Ababu Namwamba expressed gratitude to all key stakeholders and organizers that play critical roles in actualizing the summit.

The CS asserted it was imperative to have all on board, stating that locally, Kenya was implementing a whole-government approach.

“This summit was conceived by Africa; it is for, by, and of Africa. As such, we are not going to walk this journey without you. This is an indispensable platform to highlight and amplify the youth agenda,” CS affirmed.

“As the youngest content in the world, we are duty-bound to give prominence to the youth agenda.

As a continent, we have to be deliberate, structured, and intentional in tackling the challenges that affect our youth.” He further remarked

Reviewing the theme of the summit, “Youth Innovating a Borderless African Renaissance”, the CS noted that it drew great resonance, highlighting that it is indeed a great time to capitalize on the youth as a demographic dividend that will take Africa to the next level.
