Kenyan content creator Andrew Kibe has shared the reason why he decided to stop hosting radio shows.
The content creator who was in Mungai Eve’s interview opened up, saying he has always wanted to do something of his own, and the fact that he was not being recognized made him decide to start his own show. He also doesn’t like those running corporate companies.
He did also share in the narration what made him employed by radio stations, even after trying so hard to get an opportunity to work for them and failing.
“Nilienda radio nikafanya ma interview nikaenda kiss FM when they started… 20 years ago and I gave the demo and they never gave me the job, and I got frustrated because nobody was recognizing me, and in my head I am this talented individual who can knock out any show.
That’s when I made up my mind and started using social media. I got recognition from social media, and that’s when Energy called me and said they wanted to give me a job, and that’s when Kiss FM called to give me a job.” Andrew Kibe opened up.
Kibe continues, stating that after working for companies for a while, he became disinterested and considered starting his own program, saying that entertainment isn’t doing well in corporate companies.
He dismissed claims that he went poor after leaving radio, saying he isn’t and hasn’t changed his lifestyle ever since, and if it means spending, he does it on his two kids.
“I don’t waste money on assets. I have two kids that I spend all my money on,” Andrew Kibe shared.
