Four Suspects Appear in Court

Four people accused of murdering Dr Victoria Thunya Mutiso have appeared before the Milimani Law Courts.

The suspects Angela Mulwa, Rose Mbithe Mulwa, also known as Rose Mbithe Ndetei, Chris Mulwa and Elijah Kibelion Kimoi were presented before Justice Kanyi Kimondo.

The murder charge was read to them, but they did not enter a plea at the appearance.

Court Orders Mental Assessment

Justice Kimondo directed that all four suspects undergo mental assessments before they are taken through the formal plea process.

They are expected to appear before Justice Alexander Muteti once the assessments are completed, where they will formally respond to the murder allegations.

The court also directed that Kimoi be provided with legal representation.

Alleged Murder in Kilimani

The four suspects are accused of jointly killing Dr Mutiso on July 29, 2026.

According to the prosecution, the alleged incident occurred at approximately 9:30 a.m. along Mawensi Road in Kilimani, Nairobi County.

Prosecutors further allege that the suspects acted together with other individuals who have not yet been brought before the court.

The circumstances surrounding the doctor’s death will form part of the case as the prosecution presents its evidence.

Suspects Face Murder Charge

The four are facing a murder charge under Section 203, read together with Section 204 of the Penal Code.

For now, the suspects remain accused persons and have not been convicted of the offence.

The case is expected to proceed after the court receives the mental assessment reports and the suspects are presented for plea.

As the case moves forward, the court will now determine the next steps while the accused persons await the formal plea process.
