The Famous ‘Habari Zenu’ Viral Sound Man Speaks on the Origin of his Saying for the First time

The popular Kenyan ‘Habari Zenu’ guy speaks for the first time, saying that he was just doing so on a regular day.

Speaking in an interview he had, he said that he ended up using that saying because congregants had booked a space and had surpassed their time since it was midnight and they were supposed to leave, hence the reason why he went to tell them to leave.

His greeting to those people was trying to talk to them down and inform them that their time was up and they needed to leave, and it went viral because he was constantly repeating the greeting that has gone viral. One who recorded him picked on that part alone and chose to post it because he thought it was funnie, hinting that there was nothing special about it as the way it has been made viral.

“Aliyepiga picha alipiga picha akaamua kupost chenye alipost… Habari zenu is a normal greeting. If you are someone who has grown up in Mombasa, this is a normal greeting.

Maybe the way I said it repeatedly and then, of course, people mistook it and made comedy out of it for me, it is not a big deal.” He added.

In the video, he clarified why he was chewing Miraa, saying that him taking Miraa was being himself, and more importantly, it was late at night and had nothing to do with his professionalism, and he doesn’t see anything wrong with that.

“That was 2 a.m. So you want to tell me what I am doing even in the bedroom you wouldn’t want to inspect? There are things that you do beyond your work hours, and of course, jaba is not criminal.” He concluded
