American hip-hop artist Snoop Dog has announced that he has decided to quit smoking weed after having embraced it for the last few years.

For starters, weed is a psychoactive drug from the cannabis plant. Native to Central or South Asia, the cannabis plant has been used as a drug for both recreational and entheogenic purposes and in various traditional medicines for centuries.

Speaking through his social media handles, Snoop Dog asked the public to understand and respect his decision without questioning or refuting it as to why he decided to remain clean.

Snoop Dog hinted that he decided to drop smoking after having a lengthy conversation with his family, which made him decide that being clean was what he would work with.

“After much consideration and conversation with my family, I decided to give up smoking.

Snoop Dog is known for his famous tracks that are doing well, like the one that is famously known with lyrics saying the term ‘Weed’ in most stanzas.

Snoop Dog’s decision has influenced many, one of them being Coi Lerary and Us Rapper Meek Mill, who have hinted they will also be quitting smoking.

Meek Mill said he plans to leave for Dubai and follow Snoop Dog’s foot steps because his life is in a critical state and the biggest favour he’d do for his body is drop smoking because the new weed that’s on the market has way too many chemicals, which may endanger his life considering how delicate he is.

“Ima, go to Dubai and completely stop smoking. Ima follow Snoop. My doctor said I had a little bit of emphysema in my chest. If I don’t stop smoking, it cuts my lifeline in half.
