Woman Found Dead After Domestic Dispute in Kamulu
Police in Ruai, Nairobi, are investigating the death of 37-year-old Anne Wangari after she was found hanging inside a bedroom in Kamulu.
The incident was reported on Sunday night after Wangari’s 13-year-old daughter reportedly sought safety at a neighbour’s home following a confrontation at their residence.
According to information given to police, the neighbour heard a disturbance at around 8:30pm before the girl arrived at his home.
He then went to the family residence, where he discovered Wangari unresponsive and hanging from the roof inside the bedroom.
Police later visited the scene and began processing it as part of their investigation.
Injuries Raise Questions
Investigators noted injuries on Wangari’s forehead as well as injuries on her husband’s face.
Police are now seeking to establish what took place before Wangari was found dead. Preliminary information indicates that the couple had previously experienced domestic disagreements.
Her husband, who is being treated as a person of interest in the case, has been assisting officers with investigations.
Wangari’s body was taken to the Kenyatta University Hospital mortuary, where it is awaiting a postmortem examination.
Nakuru Police Probe Death of 26-Year-Old Woman
In a separate incident in Nakuru County, detectives are investigating the death of 26-year-old Genevieve Queen Osano.
Osano, who lived in Kambi ya Moto, was taken to Kabarak University Medical Centre early Monday after she reportedly became unresponsive.
She was transported in a Nissan Navara by her boyfriend, who was accompanied by his father.
Medical personnel pronounced her dead upon arrival.
Police said an initial examination did not reveal any visible physical injuries on her body.
Officers processed and documented the scene as they began looking into the circumstances that led to her death.
Her body was later transferred to the Nakuru County Referral Hospital mortuary annex pending a postmortem examination.
Her boyfriend was detained by police to assist with investigations.
64-Year-Old Man Found Dead in Migori
Meanwhile, police in Migori County are investigating the death of 64-year-old Thomas Agatha in the Nyalgunga area of Suna West.
Agatha was found lying on his back near the entrance of his sister-in-law’s house after she returned from her daily activities.
He had reportedly left his home to attend to his usual engagements but failed to return.
His sister-in-law found him unresponsive, with his jumper and slippers lying beside him while the rest of his clothing remained intact.
Police officers who visited the scene found no visible injuries on his body.
Investigators were also informed that Agatha had experienced bouts of illness.
The scene was photographed and documented before his body was taken to the Migori County Mortuary, where it is being preserved as investigations continue.
Authorities are expected to rely on further investigations and medical findings to establish the circumstances and causes of the three deaths.
