Public Memorial in Ol Kalou

The late David Kiaraho, who served Ol Kalou Constituency for three terms, will be honoured in a public memorial service on Wednesday, 8 April, at Ol Kalou Stadium in Nyandarua County. The ceremony allows locals and leaders from across Kenya to pay tribute to the lawmaker, whose tenure was marked by community development initiatives and accessible leadership.

In partnership with the Ministry of Interior, the National Assembly will facilitate the airlift of his body to Ol Kalou. In respect of his family’s wishes and cultural practices, the casket will remain closed throughout the service.

Remembering a Dedicated Legislator

Mr Kiaraho passed away on Sunday, 29 March 2026, at Nairobi Hospital. His death sparked tributes from political peers and community members who praised his dedication and people-first approach. During his time in office, he was noted for championing local projects and bridging political divides to advance development in Ol Kalou.

Burial and Final Ceremonies

The late MP’s burial will take place on Friday, 10 April 2026, at his farm in Tigoni, Limuru, in line with his final wishes. Earlier on the same day, a final memorial service will be held at St Andrew’s Church, Nairobi, giving friends and family a chance for a private farewell before the interment.
