Kenyan dancehall artist KRG The Don has shut down the famous Casavera Lounge and issued a statement explaining why he decided to do so.

Speaking in an interview with the press, KRG said that he opted to shut the club down because he plans to renovate the place and make it more complex, as well as abide by the NEMA regulations that asked them to curb the noise pollution that was all over the place, affecting the neighbors.
Adding that he decided to comply because he is understanding and believes the clients are always right, as well as being an artist under the government, he thought why not?
“Tumekua tukipata complains from the other side: wanasema tunawapigia kelele usiku, na kwa sababu mimi ni msanii wa serikali na natii serikali yangu.
Watu wa neema walisema tunapigia watu Kelele, so kama hapa mbele tutafunika tufanye sound proofing unlike before. Tayari tushaita watu wanakuja kueka glass na sound proofing.” KRG shared.
Another thing making him close the lounge down is solving the insecurity issues that have been occurring in the area, as well as adding a few things to the club and changing a few things so that everything is set.
The ‘Mambo Imechemka’ hit maker concluded by promising that they will hopefully open and return to business in the month of April 2024.
“Mimi naona by mwezi wa nnne tutakua tumememaliza maliza tuwaite tena tukuje na hype mpya mimi na team yangu.” KRG Concluded.
Apparently, the artist opted to do so, aside from the above-mentioned reasons, so that he could keep up with the current trend that has been set by the newly opened lounges and clubs close to him.
He also shared that he doesn’t fear the risk of losing his clients because he believes he has loyal clients that will always come, and by the time he is done with the renovation, his club will be trending all over, and he may just get more and even new clients who would want to experience the new place.
