‘MY INTENTION WAS NEVER TO HURT BUT TO SHARE MY EXPIRIENCE’ BEN POL APOLOGIZES

Tanzanian singer, Ben Pol has apologized to ex- wife Anerlisa Muigai after she gave him a stern warning against making her look bad during interviews.

According to him his intentions were never to hurt Anerlisa, “I want to apologize for the things I said about my marriage during my series of interviews with Millard Ayo, which started broadcasting on the 13^th of January, 2023. My intention was never to hurt but to share my experience of marriage, an experience I take full responsibility for. However, I recognize that my words were hurtful to my ex-wife and I apologize to her and to the public. While I do want to continue to talk about mental health and speak about my experience, I will strive to do so in a way that is more mindful and more constructive,” he wrote.

Earlier on during an interview Ben Pol had said that his marriage to Anerlisa was purely aesthetics, “if am to be honest with you, if you removed the Instagram posts we used to put up about our marriage, there is nothing really good that I enjoyed or experienced about marriage like I see of other couples. For us, our marriage was pure aesthetics. It was all about taking pictures and writing colorful captions and nothing much. I don’t mean to demean anyone but in my opinion. I feel like I got into a situation to complete someone’s idea of being perfect.”

Which was followed by a stern warning by Anerlisa against talking about her, “Ben, I see that umenizoea and you’ve taken my silence for weakness. You’ve always had the right to tell the interviewer not to ask about me… why are you always making me look bad, yet undercover, you send me messages different from what you talk? If you are a man, I dare you to screenshot what you’ve been sending me since December 25, 2022 to January 4th 2023! I have a lot to say about/show you, but I chose to be a lady. Its simple! Stop talking about me!”
