Kenyatta University Comrades To Stage A Mega Protest At The Nairobi CBD On Friday

Kenyatta University Comrades, led by their student leader, Teddy Odhiambo Osano, who’s the President of Kenyatta University, have announced that starting Friday this week they will be staging a mega protest in the Nairobi CBD.

The President of Kenyatta said in a video shared online that they are prepared to march to the streets this week so that they can join the rest to demonstrate and send a message to the Kenya Kwanza Government that was described as a ‘Puny Government’.

“We are here to make an official notice to this punity government that has ensured comrades are suffering that they cannot find anywhere to sleep in the name of accommodation.”

He said that he has already talked with the OCS and made them aware that they will be on the streets demonstrating peacefully.

“I want to tell the OCS central police because we’ve made it clear in our communication that we will be demonstrating on Friday on a mega run.”

He acknowledged the already demonstrating universities, Maseno and Multimedia University, that are all rooting for the same agenda: ‘Delayed dispatch of HELB funds and the high cost of living that is hitting hard on all comrades’

Odhiambo concluded by informing all his fellow students to take part in the demonstrations or take their leave as no one will be left behind in the institution, adding that he doesn’t want to be blamed sometime later on in the future for not doing his job well as a student leader.

“I am sending a strong signal to all comrades… Either you attend the demonstrations or you go home… “Either you attend the demonstrations or you stop studying in our universities.” Kenyatta University’s School President added
