Bien Talks about his New Album entitled ‘Alusa Why Are You Topless’

Kenyan artist Bien, who initially used to work together with his team called ‘Sauti Sol, has talked about his new album.

Speaking in an interview he had with our very own journalist SilvaKido, he said that he decided to name the album that way because it was a statement that came from his mother, who called him, asking why he was topless when releasing his popular track ‘Zinishike’.

He also added that the term ‘topless’ represents quite a number of things, starting with freedom and discipline, hinting that it is a new beginning for him after calling it quits with SautiSol.

“Topless represents a lot of things hiyo ni freedom lakini pia ni discipline ndio ukae poa lazima ukue committed na ile kitu unado ile tizi unapiga.

Topless is a new beginning for me. I am starting this thing topless. Let’s do more albums. It is my new job after SolFest, and I am now jobless.” Bien added.

Bien, who has already recorded all the tracks in his new album with different local and international artists, said that the album is the beginning of new things to come and people should expect more as he is now more committed and determined than ever to release random tracks and work more on his brand.

Bien also refused that he isn’t releasing music for fame and recognition, as he is just doing what he loves to change people’s lives as well as get to connect with his audience, advising people to not base their journeys on others as people grow and cruise differently.

“I am not doing this for recognition; I am doing this to change people’s lives through the lyrics I create and songs that I make and create moments in life. The recognition will definitely come out of that eventually.” Bien explained.

Bien concluded by urging the public to be patient, stay diligent, and keep putting in the work, as patience pays eventually and some day they will rise to international levels. Hinting the success of making it starts with accepting yourself as an individual.
