Kenyan Comedian Mca Tricky has said that he will be introducing his own show (A Tricky Comedy Circuit) this month on March 31st in Nairobi.
Mca Tricky had given a heads-up about this, saying that he wants to build his own brand as well as he is learning from his teacher Mwalimu churchill. He said this when he had just landed in Kenya at the airport having been out of the country performing.
He has congratulated his mentor, as he has said that he is the reason he came up with this very idea.
“In fact, this coming show, Churchill himself has been a big part of it.”
Mca Tricky shared a post on his Instagram page saying how excited he was and updating his fans on the venue and the time it will start.
Speaking to Nairobi News, Tricky added that the essence of it is to give international comedians or other comedians outside the country to come to Kenya and share how they do it from their end. It will be a learning progress as well as it will be entertaining.
“I want them to come and give my audience a taste of comedy from their countries.”
Mentioning language barrier as an obstacle that has pierced this industry because Kenyans are restricted to doing comedy in Swahili alone whereas they also need to know English so that they can attract more traffic and grow their brands, thus by getting invitations to go and perform outside the country.
The show that will take place at Nairobi Cinema will see African artists come over and showcase their skills as from 6pm.
He e also disclosed that he has plans of supporting the families that are affected by famine by donating 20% of what the show will be making.
“20% of this show’s proceeds will go to support the badly Famine struck kids in day schools… Kindly support by attending physically or getting your ticket today to attend virtually.”
The Comedian has big plans for the show if it turns out the way he visions it.
