Four Arrested Following Dagoretti Gang Rape Investigation
The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has arrested four persons of interest in connection with an alleged gang rape and robbery involving a young couple in Dagoretti, Nairobi County.
In an update shared on X on Friday, November 6, 2026, the agency said the arrests followed coordinated intelligence-led operations involving detectives from the Crime Research and Intelligence Bureau (CRIB), Dagoretti officers and the Operations Action Team (OAT) based at DCI headquarters.

The incident reportedly happened on the night of November 1, when the couple was walking to purchase food.
According to investigators, approximately five men confronted them, with one of the attackers allegedly armed with a knife.
The gang reportedly overpowered the couple before forcing them towards Kiuru Forest, where the attack took place.
Boyfriend Escapes as Woman Is Allegedly Assaulted
During the confrontation, the boyfriend sustained serious injuries and was robbed of his mobile phone.
Despite his injuries, he managed to escape from the attackers.
His female companion was allegedly not as fortunate. Detectives say the woman was held against her will and sexually assaulted by several members of the group before being released in the early hours of the following morning.
Following the ordeal, she sought medical attention at Muthua Dispensary as investigations into the incident got underway.
Three Suspects Arrested in Kangemi
Detectives subsequently followed intelligence leads that resulted in the arrest of three persons of interest in Kangemi, Nairobi.
A fourth suspect was later traced and apprehended in Banana, Kiambu County.
During the coordinated operations, officers recovered a mobile phone and SIM card allegedly used to receive money from the victim.
Investigators believe the recovered items could provide important leads as they reconstruct the events surrounding the attack and establish the possible involvement of each suspect.
Court Grants Detectives 14 Days for Investigations
The four persons of interest were presented before the Makadara Law Courts, where detectives obtained orders allowing them to remain in custody for 14 days.
The additional time will enable investigators to gather further evidence, examine the recovered items and establish whether the suspects were part of a wider criminal network.
The DCI has also indicated that officers are pursuing additional leads to identify and arrest any other individuals who may have participated in the attack.
Investigations remain ongoing as authorities work to establish the full circumstances surrounding the robbery and alleged sexual assault.
The arrests mark an important development in the investigation, but detectives still have questions to answer. As the search for possible accomplices continues, the priority remains securing justice for the victim and holding anyone found responsible accountable.
