Unidentified Man Found Near Kiambu Hospital
Police in Kiambu are investigating the death of an unidentified man whose body was discovered along a pathway near the entrance of Kiambu Level Five Hospital.
The man, believed to be approximately 40 years old, was found by members of the public on Saturday night, September 12, 2026.
Members of the public alerted the police, prompting officers to respond to the area.
When they arrived, officers found the deceased lying along the pathway near the hospital gates.
No Visible Injuries Reported
Police said the man was not wearing shoes when he was discovered and had no obvious physical injuries.
Crime Scene officers processed the area and documented the circumstances surrounding the discovery before the body was taken to the hospital mortuary.
The remains are being preserved as authorities work to establish the man’s identity.
A postmortem examination will also be conducted to determine the cause of death.

Kirinyaga Man Found Dead at Home
In a separate incident, detectives in Kirinyaga West are investigating the death of 37-year-old Ephraim Kanyingi Kiema, who was found dead at his family home in Sagana.
Kiema was discovered by his mother on Saturday night after she returned home at approximately 10:30 pm.
Police said she had earlier left her son and his nephew at the residence.
Upon opening the gate, she reportedly found Kiema lying on the ground in a pool of blood, with injuries to his head.
She raised the alarm and contacted a village elder, who then informed the police.
Head Injury Raises Murder Suspicions
Officers who arrived at the scene found Kiema lying face down.
He was fully dressed in a red T-shirt, jeans and sandals.
Preliminary investigations indicated that he may have suffered a serious head injury after being struck with a blunt object.
Police recovered a wooden stick from the scene, which has been preserved as an exhibit as detectives investigate whether it was used in the alleged attack.
Relative Identified as Person of Interest
Investigators have identified a man known to Kiema’s mother as Ian Kamuiru, who was reportedly the deceased’s nephew, as a person suspected to have information or possible links to the death.
Police said the man is believed to have left the area and was reportedly last seen in Kamunyu village in Gatundu South at around 8 pm on Saturday.
The circumstances surrounding his disappearance from the area remain under investigation.
Police have not established a possible motive for the suspected killing.
