Drone Strikes Hit Major Russian Logistics Centres
Ukrainian drones have struck warehouses operated by Wildberries, Russia’s largest online retailer, in two southern regions, according to company officials and local authorities.
The attacks affected logistics centres in Krasnodar and Nevinnomyssk in the Stavropol region, forcing workers to evacuate as emergency teams responded to the incidents.
Wildberries founder Tatyana Kim said employees were moved to safety following the strikes, describing the attacks as deeply emotional for workers who were carrying out their normal duties.
15 People Injured in Latest Attacks
Regional officials reported that 15 people were injured during the strikes.
In Nevinnomyssk, five people suffered injuries and received medical treatment outside hospital facilities, according to regional authorities.
Another 10 people were injured after a warehouse complex in Krasnodar was attacked, with three reported to be in serious condition.
Footage shared from the scenes showed large fires spreading across the facilities, with thick smoke rising above the affected areas.
Ukraine Claims Military-Related Targets Were Hit
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said the strikes targeted logistics centres in the Krasnodar and Stavropol regions that were allegedly connected to supplying Russia’s military.
He claimed the facilities were involved in providing drone components, navigation equipment and other military-related materials.
Russia has not confirmed Ukraine’s claims regarding the purpose of the warehouses.
Second Attack on Wildberries Facilities
The latest strikes mark the second time in a matter of days that Wildberries facilities have been targeted.
Earlier attacks hit warehouses in Tambov and Elektrostal, where eight people were reported killed.
