Bahati lost to Anthony Oluoch having Garnered 8,166 votes as his rival mate Oluoch Pocketed 28,098 respectively and took the mandate of ruling the Mathare people over the hopes of Bahati.
Bahati who has had problems with some politicians i.e. Edwin Sifuna as he has been constantly throwing words at him stood with Jubilee party despite the challenges he had to go through to get that seat even after his candle looked diminished as he was denied the Jubilee ticket, He still kept the hopes and strongly defended out his name and title in public thus upholding the core values of a good leader as he claimed to have turned down quite a sum of good money that was offered to him to step down.
