Mumias MP Peter Salasya has remained undeterred in his pursuit of socialite Huddah Monroe, despite facing criticism from figures like blogger Andrew Kibe. Kibe recently suggested that men from rural areas should avoid pursuing glamorous city women.
In response to Kibe’s comments, Salasya took to Instagram on September 8th to assert that men from humble backgrounds can also attract city women. He dismissed Kibe’s suggestion that only men from urban areas can successfully navigate relationships with glamorous women.
Salasya also took a jab at Kibe, implying that it’s actually men from rural areas who are currently winning in relationships. He argued that the days of rural men feeling intimidated by high-maintenance city women are over.
Kibe had previously questioned Salasya’s chances with Huddah, claiming that city women are not for the faint-hearted. He suggested that only serious, experienced men from Nairobi could handle such women.
This is not the first time Salasya has faced criticism for his pursuit of Huddah. Content creator Cassypool also expressed doubts about Salasya’s chances, arguing that Huddah’s expensive lifestyle requires a wealthy partner.

In August, Huddah Monroe herself laid out some strict conditions for Salasya before their meeting. She requested a private meeting at a five-star hotel, with a presidential suite decorated with orange roses. She also demanded a greeting fee of Ksh3,870,000, threatening to remain silent if it wasn’t paid.
