‘The guy you friendzone might be your life partner’-Kamene Goro offers relationship advice

Published on

Radio personality Kamene Goro is back on the airwaves and sharing life lessons with her fans. In a recent YouTube update, Kamene opened up about her career comeback, her surprising marriage, and the importance of staying open to life’s twists and turns.

Radio Return & The Power of “Never Say Never”

Kamene revealed she’s enjoying her new role at NRG Radio, especially the camaraderie with her co-workers. This return comes after a previous break from radio.

“I left radio, then came back,” she shared. “It’s been a journey, but I love where I am now. Afternoon radio is so much fun!”

Reflecting on her career shift, Kamene emphasized the importance of flexibility. She admitted to previously declaring she was done with media, but her experience showed the value of keeping an open mind.

“I swore I’d never go back to radio,” she said. “But I learned a lesson: never say never. God has a way of surprising you, and let me tell you, it was a fast one!”

The call to return to radio came right after her birthday, leading to discussions and her comeback in April 2024.

Love and Marriage: Embracing the Unexpected

Kamene also addressed her personal life, particularly her marriage to DJ Bonez, which defied her past expectations.

A 2021 video resurfaced recently, showing Kamene describe her ideal man as dark-skinned with a beard and muscles. However, DJ Bonez doesn’t quite fit that mold – he’s brown-skinned with no beard or muscles.

Despite defying her earlier statements, Kamene and DJ Bonez have built a strong bond. They see themselves as best friends who are constantly dating, a quality she believes is crucial in relationships.

“It’s been a year of marriage,” Kamene explained, “but it feels like an extended dating phase. We never stop dating each other, and friendship is key.”

Kamene adviced women not to fall for guys easily, but rather give themselves time, adding that the person whom they friendzone might unexpectedly be the one they spend their life with.

Kamene’s story is an inspiring reminder to embrace life’s unexpected turns and stay open to new possibilities, both in love and career.
