Rita Tinina’s final journey (Details)

The late veteran journalist Rita Tinina was found dead in her apartment in the Nairobi Kileleshwa area on March 17, 2024.

Rita Tinina will be buried at her family home at Noosupeni Farm, Olokirikirai, Narok County, on Wednesday, March 27, 2024.

Her final ceremony will be attended by close family members, friends, politicians, and other government representatives, as well as other media colleagues from different media outlets across the country.

The late journalist leaves behind her 8-year-old daughter Mia and her partner Robert Angila, whom they shared a lot of things with.

On Monday, Robert paid tribute to the late journalist, who was his partner, pointing out the things he will miss as well as acknowledging how her presence meant a lot to him.

“We all spend our lifetimes chasing a legacy that we hope to be remembered for. It is remarkable that I find Rita Tinina established her legacy just shy of her. 46th birthday. We are all here because Rita impacted our lives in a special way,” Robert Angila said.

“I shall miss you dearly, Mama Mia.” Robert Angila paid tribute.

Linus remembers the late Tinina


In attendance were political analyst Dennis Itumbi as well as Linus Kaikai, whose Group Editorial Director and Head of Strategy at Royal Media Services paid tribute to the late journalist Rita Tinina, pointing out that she was an individual who was determined and devoted to her work.

“The family, sorry. Even if it is the grieving session, it is usually good to point out the good things that the deceased did because it puts the community and the person in a good place on the map. Which is why we are giving her flowers and acknowledging how of great service she was to the community and her colleagues at her workplace.

I am deeply sorry for what has happened. Let’s acknowledge her as she is an inspiration to many.” Linus Kaikai paid tribute to the late Rita Tinina.

Rita Tinina initially worked in three media houses, which were Nation Media Group, KTN, and Citizen Royal Media Services.
