Kenyan President William Ruto has made a promise to the public, assuring them that his administration is going to work hand in hand with him to ensure that there are no extrajudicial killings, as he promised before getting into power.
Speaking during a town hall meeting with Mombasa residents, President Ruto told the public to be his eyes and step forward and say so and so has disappeared so that he deals with it.
“If there’s any Kenyan who has disappeared, I want people to step forward and say Kenyan so and so has disappeared. I will be very happy to deal with it.” President Ruto said.
President Ruto said this, referring to a time when there were a great number of bodies dumped in the river, saying it was something that would never happen under his watch.
“There was a time we had 30 or so bodies of Kenyans in rivers; that will never happen under my watch, and I have said this with clarity,” Ruto said.
