Pastor Kanyari Discloses the Reason that’s making Pastors Ask Money From the Congregation

A Kenyan pastor by the name of Kanyari has explained the reason why some Kenyan pastors have a tendency to ask for money from the public.

According to him, the reason the preachers ask for money in exchange for prayers is basically because the church’s management isn’t well-structured to help him meet his needs.

“Wewe usione kama pastor anapenda kuitisha pesa. Ni kwa sababu washirika wa hiyo kanisa hawana management mzuri kujua mahitaji ya mhubiri. Mhubiri anatoka madhabau anaenda kulala njaa atakosa aje kuitisha za mafuta.

Ni kwa sababu kanisa yake hakuna wazee na wamama ambao wanafaa kueka management nzuri ya kanisani.”

The pastor said that this is done because the preacher has run out of options and everything in his life is at stake, making him look for favor from the public as a consolation so that he doesn’t crumble.

Many preachers have been in the spotlight lately, asking for money from the public so that they can pray for something that is now being called ‘Panda Mbegu’ to plant a seed.

Just the other day, Pastor Ng’ang’a’s video was making the rounds on the internet, where the pastor expressed his disappointment in a congregant who gave him 500 Ksh to pray for their family and children, saying that it was so little and that it couldn’t amount to anything in the current economy, advising the person to consider settling for less. With him, either you go big or you don’t give out at all.

“Na mwingine jana alinipatia mia tano akaniambia nikumbuke wajukuu wake na watoto wake. Hata nitawakumbuka namna gani sasa. Hata hakuna mafuta ya gari ya mia tano. Hiyo ni ibada gani sasa.

Hiyo ibada ya mia tano fanya na waganga wale wako Nairobi wa mbegu…sisi hatuna hiyo ukitaka kufanya, it is up to you, mimi nakufunza uwe na yako.” Pastor Ng’ang’a said
