Child Falls While at School
A family in Soy, Uasin Gishu County, is mourning the death of a three-year-old pupil following a fatal accident at a private school.
Police said the incident happened on Wednesday, September 23, at about 1pm while the child was playing with three other children within the school compound.
The young learner, who was attending the institution’s daycare class, reportedly fell from the first floor of a boys’ dormitory.
The fall left him with a serious head injury.
Rushed to Hospital
The injured child was quickly taken to Ziwa Sub-County Hospital, where medical personnel attended to him.
Despite efforts to save his life, the pupil died while receiving treatment.
His body was initially kept at the hospital before being transferred to the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital (MTRH) mortuary, where it is being preserved as investigations continue.
