Kenyan businesswoman and socialite Michelle Natalami is over the moon after landing a new deal to represent Africa nationwide.
Michelle took the news to her Instagram page, thanking the team and the United Nations for the opportunity and promising to do the most. This is actually courtesy of her own product, ‘Marini Naturals’, that she launched, which involved working with local and continental farmers across Africa.
“I may have been quiet, but my blessings haven’t.” Let me share this one with y’all
I am absolutely humbled to be selected by the United Nations (UN ECA) as a top business delegate to represent Africa in the Seychelles 2024 Entrepreneurial Conference. 🇺🇳 @unitednations
This is courtesy of my work with @marini.naturals, working with local and continental farmers across Africa, upholding quality and sustainable practices in our products, and steadily growing it into the brand that it is today.” Part of Michelle’s statement read:
The conference aims to create changemakers, policymakers, innovators, and entrepreneurs in the blue economy market.
“The conference aims to create changemakers, policymakers, innovators, and entrepreneurs in the Blue Economy Market, i.e., ocean-based businesses such as mineral salts, coconut oils and butters, reef-friendly products, etc. Needless to say, this is quite a milestone!
I am so grateful to UNECA, Honita, Nina, Clinton, and the Seychelles team for selecting me for this opportunity.”Ntalami’s statement read
The blue economy is the “sustainable use of ocean resources for economic growth, improved livelihoods, and jobs while preserving the health of the ocean ecosystem.” Investing in the blue economy can lead to new business opportunities and revenue streams. As the global population continues to grow, so does the demand for food, energy, and other resources, which is why there’s a blue economy that’s able to meet these needs.
