Speaking during an interview with one of our lady hosts, Ciku, she said that she dropped the act of dating multiple men because the experience used to drain her a lot, and with time, it became hard for her to balance being there for all of them.

“Nilikua na wao Kitambooh… 2 years ago, nilikua mbaya… Niliamua kuacha kwa sababu haikukua rahisi….. kusuplyia hawa watu si kazi rahisi.” Manzi wa Kibera shared.

She added that, despite having quit her past life, it was a good experience that used to help her make a living out of it, but she opted to walk out of it because it was draining her.

In the interview we had, Manzi Wa Kibera took us through her house in Kibera and explained to us why she has things equipped and she doesn’t stay there more often considering she was given another house by her usual known ‘Mbaba’. She said that even if she had decided to date her 60-year-old boyfriend, she thought it wise to have some backup just in case things go southwards so that she has somewhere she can go back to.

Speaking on why she relocated to the Ghetto, where she is at the moment, she opened up, saying that life is easier on this side, unlike the other side of the river, where life is way more expensive, and considering she isn’t working, she prefers staying at the Ghetto.

“My main story, ya kuhama, is because huko nje life is expensive. Huku Kibera hata unaeza kula vitu three meals a day na 200 ksh,” Manzi wa Kibera clarified.

She doesn’t plan on moving out because she has a foundation that supports the needy and wants to start her own business. She also plans to renovate her new place to be the headquarters, since they don’t have one.
