Iranian news agencies have reported the death of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, who tragically died in a helicopter crash at the age of 63.
The fatal crash also claimed the lives of Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and seven other passengers.
According to Iran’s Constitution, the first vice president is required to step in as acting president, subject to the Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khomeini’s approval.
