List Of Black Women that Won the 2024 Grammy Awards

Yesterday, on the 4th February Sunday night, the Grammy awards were going down, whereas several artists were being recognized for their efforts in the music industry as well as in their innovative craft.

Below is a list of black women who were awarded the Grammys:

1.Coco Jones

Courtney Michaela “Coco” Jones is an American singer-songwriter and actress. Raised in Lebanon, Tennessee, she began auditioning in Nashville as a child to pursue a career in entertainment. She first gained attention after being featured on Radio Disney’s Next Big Thing.

She has a large following on her social media handles, starting off with Instagram, where she has over 4 million followers.

Coco Jones was nominated for five awards and managed to bag the award as the Best R&B Performance Artist for her song ICU, which’s on YouTube with 48 million views.

2. Tyla

Tyla Laura Seethal, (22) known mononymously as Tyla, is a Grammy Award-winning South African singer and songwriter. Born and raised in Johannesburg, she went viral with her latest song, ‘Water’, which has 118 million views on YouTube and counting.

She also has a large following, with over 4 million followers on her Instagram page.

Tyla won the award for the best African music artist with her song ‘Water’, beating Ayra Starr, who is known for her viral song ‘Rush’.

She was excited upon receiving her award, saying she never anticipated it coming and is so grateful for the love and support from fans.

3. Victoria Monet

Victoria Monét McCants is an American singer and songwriter. She went viral with her latest song, ‘On My Mama’, which got her numbers and made her win the Grammys on Sunday night.

Victoria won the award as the Best New Artist for sharing the exciting news on her page.

4. SZA

Solána Imani Rowe, known professionally as SZA, is an American singer-songwriter. She first gained recognition through her self-released extended plays.

SZA notched her first Grammys as a solo artist, earning three prizes: Best Progressive R&B Album for SOS, Best R&B Song for “Snooze,” and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for “Ghost in the Machine,” her collaboration with Phoebe Bridgers.

SZA has won the hearts of many, with over 19 million followers on her Instagram page.
