Lil Nas X Apologizes to Christians Following his Recent Music Video ‘J Christ’ that appeared to Provoke Religion

American Rapper Lil Nas X has apologized to Christians following his recent music video that appeared to be provoking religion.

In a video he shared online, Lil Nas X said that he had no intention of offending anyone or mocking Christianity in any way, as all he intended to do was show that he was back, just like Christ rose from the dead.

‘When I did this track, I knew it would upset a lot of people because religion is a very sensitive topic to a lot of people. I also didn’t mean to mock people. I am not the first person to dress up like Jesus, and I will not be the last.

It was literally me saying, I am back like Jesus. I know anything I do, given my history, anything I do related to religion can be viewed as mockery, but this was not the case at all.” Lil Nas shared.

The song, which is 2 minutes and 50 seconds long, has been trending for the past 4 days and has over 6 million views on YouTube and counting.

In the new video, LIL NAS X is seen taking gulps of holy sacriment, amongst many things that are religious, including the way he had his crew dressed.

He apologized to all Christians, saying he meant nothing wrong.

“I know I messed up a really bad time this time, but I can act unbothered all the time. I did not mean it, that cannibalism thing or whatever it is. I do apologize for that, though I know I don’t agree with all Christianity’s rules.

I wanted to clear my head with such decisions. I do want my Christian fans to know that I am not against you. I was put on this earth to bring people together. I don’t want to destroy anything.” LIL NAS X shared.

He explained that he opted to do it differently this time because he didn’t want to be on the devil’s side this time around, and him doing it godly was to show that he is different than the last track ‘Montegoh’ he had released.
