Oburu Reflects on Raila’s Legacy
ODM leader Oburu Oginga has reflected on the political journey of his late brother, Raila Odinga, describing him as a central figure in Kenya’s struggle for democracy.
Speaking during celebrations marking 16 years since the promulgation of the 2010 Constitution, Oburu said Raila’s political activism contributed to major changes in Kenya’s governance system.
He pointed to the country’s transition to multiparty politics, the expansion of constitutional freedoms and the introduction of devolution as some of the gains associated with that struggle.

While celebrating the achievements of the Constitution, Oburu argued that Kenya’s liberation remains unfinished.
