50-Year-Old Killed in Kuria East

Police in Migori are investigating the death of John Kimwama, 50, following a violent incident reported in Sakuri village, Kuria East Subcounty, on Wednesday.

According to police, Kimwama was allegedly attacked by 32-year-old Samson Waitacho Mariko. Officers who arrived at the scene found the victim had suffered fatal injuries during the attack.

The circumstances surrounding the confrontation remain under investigation as detectives work to establish what led to the killing.

Suspected Attacker Dies in Mob Attack

Shortly after the alleged killing, members of the public reportedly confronted Mariko.

The crowd allegedly subjected him to mob violence, causing injuries that resulted in his death before police could take control of the situation.

Bodies Taken to Mortuary
