Kenyan digital creator Ivy Namulindwa, wife to Willis Raburu, has explained how having a second baby slowed her down.
Speaking during an interview with SpmBuzz, she opened up, saying she couldn’t multitask the two, thus raising children and concentrating on her career because they each needed undivided attention.
“Giving birth is not a small thing… My career had to take a back seat for me to raise my children. My career was not my priority this past year. It has been 3 years, and now I think I can get back to it,” Ivy explained.
According to her, she is always trying to see that she doesn’t outdo and outweigh when working on another.

She spoke about parenting, saying it is going well because she has support from her partner and is trying everything possible to be there for her children and try to provide all that they want.
Adding that she is learning it as well since they have no one they are looking up to, and there’s progress. Ivy said she doesn’t like violence, and her way of raising kids is a little different from the way she was raised by her parents and how African parents do it, thus disciplining young children.
“Also, I am a gentle parent, and I don’t like disciplining my children; instead, I talk to them and discipline them in other ways, but I try as much as possible to not be violent because I have realized children are smarter than you think, so I talk to them, and they listen.
I feel like Kuchapana is a bit lazy because wewe ndio umekasirika…so najaribu kuchange what I grew up with into what I want with my children.” Ivy explained.
