President Ruto is expected to land at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, the world’s busiest passenger hub, around 5:30 p.m. This massive airport handles nearly 100 million passengers each year, functioning primarily as a connecting point due to its convenient location within a two-hour flight of many major US cities.
Atlanta marks the first stop on President Ruto’s US visit. Following a hotel check-in and briefing, he’ll head to the Jimmy Carter Presidential Library and Museum to deliver a speech on democracy.
Beyond the diplomatic agenda, the luxurious aircraft transporting the President and his delegation across the Atlantic has also garnered attention.
President Ruto reportedly departed Kenya on a chartered jet operated by RoyalJet, a United Arab Emirates company established in 2003 as a joint venture between Abu Dhabi Aviation and the Presidential Flight (Abu Dhabi Amiri Flight). Chaired by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Hamad Bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, RoyalJet boasts a fleet that includes the Boeing Business Jet B737-77W assigned to President Ruto.
This recently acquired aircraft (2016) is a symbol of luxury in the skies.
A Haven of Comfort and Technology
Designated A6-RJU, the jet features a forward stateroom with an ensuite VIP lavatory, ensuring ultimate privacy and convenience for the President. The cabin’s modern design incorporates premium materials and carbon fiber, complemented by a unique mood lighting system offering over a million color variations, all controlled by an iPad-based cabin management system.
For in-flight entertainment, President Ruto will have access to a state-of-the-art video-on-demand system enhanced by a high-quality sound system. The aircraft also boasts the fastest Ka-Band WiFi available globally, allowing for seamless streaming of high-definition content from popular services like Apple TV, Netflix, and Amazon Prime Video.
