Nairobi Women Representative Esther Passaris was booed on Saturday when women were on the streets protesting against killing women because many felt she was unavailable when the killings were happening and she has now decided to show up.

Kenyans ranted her at Jeevanjee grounds despite her showing her resilience and availability in championing ending femicide. From the rants that were heard, Esther Passaris was being booed at as residents recommended she leave as she was silent when all the airbnb killings were happening and just decided to show up when women were on the streets marching.

She decided to react to it through her Twitter account, saying that she was only booed because people needed someone they could let out their frustrations to.

“I was booed because I was the available punching bag to let out frustrations and settle political scores. Not because “you did a little too late.” I have been on a planning wall with CSOs for the Femicide March since its inception. @NGAAF_KE and my entire team stood up to be counted as mandated. We finished the march strong. Now back to work, knowing we are all part of the solution and the problem.” Esther Passaris wrote on her Twitter account.

She was championing that the candbits who are killing women be detained without bail and was even rooting for them to be issued a death sentence because she feels like many get away with it.

“Sexual gender-based offenses should not be bailable. Maybe we should also think of returning the death sentence because people feel like they can get away with it.” Esther Passaris shared her thoughts.

This comes days after a young teenager female was killed in an airbnb house in Roysambu Trm Drive and her body parts dismembered something that has never happened leaving many shocked.

Many took it to their Twitter account (X) to call her out. Below are some of the reactions from the public:

Lawi Almighty!: Socialites like @EstherPassarisshould never be allowed to piggyback on the oppressed or on any serious issues. She was only here for clout. It’s delightful to know that this crowd could read the fraud that she is! Viva!!

Kasinga G. Alex: I love how she was held accountable. Commendable, our ladies and men who matched today. You did well.

Opiyo Ogaya: You were blessed because of two things:
Thing 1: You’re seeking to take advantage of protests organised by CSOs, yet you’ve been quiet since Femicide started.
Thing 2: Your association with a failed regime for which 2027 is so far yet so near
