Dr.Eric Mutai Speaks on Trade Relations In Kenya

Published

Dr. Eric Mutai, Governor of Kericho County has spoken about how people can invest in trade and the plans underway for the changes that are yet to happen.

He said that a lot of forms had been signed up from different counties with hopes that they get a market for their tea which is becoming quite a challenge to farmers as all their profits are lost and the price of the tea shot down, disadvantaging the farmers a great deal. He has insisted that Kericho county will work hand in hand with the Government to ensure that No Shortcomings arise again.

Speaking in an SPM Interview earlier today he said that “As County of Kericho will also be partnering strongly with the National Government to continue looking for more markets and getting more Investors who can buy our tea Because our target is to have guaranteed minimum returns for the tea farmers”

He, later on, added that he gives credit to the Government for the subsidized Fertilizer that was given out, saying that after having a talk they agreed for it to be expanded to the tea farmers as well, believing it will increase Agricultural Production and reduce the input from farmers.

He also said that there are prepared in case of any outbreak thus the Ebola and the Government are also on the radar to ensure that the situation is curbed if it ever comes up thus allocated funds over the same, and they have a team of health workers being coached on how to handle the situation and that it should not at all be a problem to Kenyans.

Furthermore, he assured Kenyans that they will work hand in hand with the Government and ensure that they give farmers the opportunities to enjoy the fruits of their labor.
