Kenyan comedian and actor, Dr. Babu Omwami, has opened up about the challenges they faced when shooting Nurse Toto season 2.

Speaking in a brief interview session we had with him, he said that there were quite a number of challenges they faced, among them being exhausted on set as well as being expected to grasp the script lines within a short period of time so that they could keep things running without delay.

“Tunalala late tunaamka na maruwe ruwe…tunapewa script mpya… tunafaa tena tuchangamke tuwe na energy na hapa hatujalala, tuna script mpya tena. So we physically get exhausted because we end up standing the whole time when shooting.

Despite these small challenges, we always try to see that they don’t hold us down and prevent us from unleashing our full potential when acting.” Omwami explained.

He also highlighted that in order to thrive as an actor or in life, depending on anything you do, you have to embrace it and love doing it, as that is the only thing that will make you stand out in whichever position you are in.

“Be proud of what you are doing and also enjoy doing it. That is the only way you will stand out, as that applies everywhere.” Omwami shared.

Omwami, commonly known as ‘Dr Babu’ in the Nurse Toto Series since one acts as a janitor,  is well known for his ‘Swahili terminologies. A traditional herbalist, apart from being a janitor, always has a solution to every disease.
