Over the Easter holiday, Nigerian superstar Davido was busy as a bee in East Africa performing on the big stages.
The singer surprised his fans at the much anticipated Raha Fest on Saturday, March 30th.
Davido arrived at the venue amid tight security and his entourage made its way to the stage as fans tried to get a glimpse of him.
The Nigerian sensation brought out Bien Aime as a surprise guest to perform with him as crowds screamed with joy.
Following his performance, the media couldn’t eschew talking & writing about him. However, some took advantage of the date (April Fool’s Day) to prank netizens that Davido was arrested with matters relating to drugs.

Davido was displeased upon learning the same; and wrote a statement to his fans.
Fam, it has come to my attention that false reports regarding an arrest circulated online on April 1st, which has since led to a barrage of calls. I want to assure my fans that these reports are entirely untrue. I successfully completed my scheduled shows in Uganda and Kenya & have since returned home to Nigeria,” part of his statement read.
In the same statement, Davido continued to threaten legal actions against the culprits involved.
I find the fabrication of allegations of cush international crimes extremely irresponsible regardless of the light of ‘April fools’ and my lawyer is seeking legal recourse against the media parties responsible for generating this mis-information.
Thank you for your continued support.
Apart from meeting & performing with renowned Kenyan artists, Davido also made headlines after meeting up with popular content creator, Roaming chef. They shared a meal as Davido seemingly enjoyed ‘omena‘ alongside his friends & security.
