Content creator, Felicity Shiru has opened up about her motherhood journey.
Talking to Mungai Eve, she said so far so good, “It is not as bad. You just have to adapt with time,” adding that the best part is watching her baby grow, “Just seeing a little person growing everyday and you’re there to take care of them and they depend on you. I think that process of seeing them grow. Like right now she is a month old and some days. Seeing from the time she was a new born that is what makes me happy the most.”
On how she has been juggling work and motherhood, “I think planning ahead because you know the baby has to breastfeed I also have to be there taking care of the baby. I can plan to have a shoot say tomorrow. I’ll plan how the day will go, the person I’ll leave the baby with. Just to make sure everything is organized,” she said.
She was confessed to be attached to her baby girl, “I never thought I will be this much attached to my kid. I used to wonder why mothers act some type of way but when you find yourself in the same situation you find yourself doing some things you never thought you would. Like I remember my first time leaving the house, it was so hard I felt like I was getting a panic attack. I didn’t think I’d be like that.”
Felicity also said she was going to reveal the baby’s face once she grew a bit bigger, “Maybe later on. I can’t say the exact time but its too early. I introduce her and then? She is very small the only thing she does is sleep and breastfeed. Maybe past 6 months I might consider,” disclosing that she would have wished her baby to choose for herself if it were up to her, “If I was to choose maybe not online so that when she grows she can decide for herself if that is what she wants.”
Felicity and Thee Pluto welcome their baby girl Zoey in November this year. They both took to their respective social media pages to announce it, “4|11|2022 9:14am,” wrote Felicity as she shared a picture holding the baby. Pluto on his part said it was a dream come true, “My dreams have come true for getting a child. Welcome to the world my child. You’ve changed my name to a parent now and gave me respect. I pray for you to have a good life.”
