Esther Passaris advices Mps to listen to Kenyan’s plea lest they face the wrath of Gen Z’s

Nairobi Women Representative Esther Passaris called out the members of Parliament, telling them that it was indeed high time they heeded the public’s demands.

Speaking in a parliament proceeding, Esther Passaris read out the names of those who lost their lives, urging the house to take into account the interests of the public as they are discussing the budget.

She explained further that it is high time leaders step up because the public is already watching every step they are taking and if they want to retain their positions then they should hold the interests of Kenyans at heart.

“People want jobs that were promised; amongst many other things, we have to really start cleaning up, and if we can’t really do it ourselves, then what we had with the Gen Z revolution protests recently was like a tremor;

The earthquake is what we should avoid, and we can avoid it if we can listen and act on everything they are saying.” Esther Passaris said.

She also reminded the public that these are not only their children but people who are also well conversant with political affairs, and as leaders they cannot afford to do wrong.

Why Passaris feels like the Constitution should be revisited

According to Passaris, Kenya’s way of running the country is way different and unique, unlike other states that are doing well, saying that the country should act fast because it is lagging behind.

“Maybe we need to really sit down and revisit this constitution like do we really need 47 counties, did we really start this expenditure when we passed our constitution and decided to have so many children…we really need to look at our laws if they are adequate when it comes to fighting corruption.” Passaris said.
