Kenyan digital creator and comedian Timothy Kimani, who goes by his stage name ‘Njugush’, openly revealed reasons why he doesn’t see himself venturing into politics anytime soon, despite always criticizing the government’s incompetent leaders.
According to Njugush, politics is not really his cup of tea, and where he fits right is calling them out and keeping them on their toes rather than leading the people or rather working with them.
“I don’t think so because, because kila mtu anafaa afanye kile chenye ako is good, I don’t think it is in my place… I am very powerful in what I do; let’s say, for example, in my skits, because if that is where my sound is, why not do it and keep at it?” Njugush shared.
The father of two goes on sharing the reason why the country is in a crisis, saying the whole reason is because people who are not qualified got in power, hence lacking deliverables and making people turn on them for being incompetent.
“The problem and reason why we are here as a country is because people who are not qualified got into those positions.” Njugush shared.
About Njugush’s newly launched book
He did also talk about his newly launched book, ‘Whispers from Childhood’, saying that it has been a journey and thanking his family and close friends who have been helping him all through.
Njugush admitted that one of the biggest challenges he faced when writing the book was compiling and putting everything together.
“It has been a journey, and all I can say is that I am still in shock, and I believe that with this, I can still do more.” Njugush opened up.
The lesson that Njugush believes everyone should learn from the book is to never give up, to be consistent, and to believe that they themselves, as individuals, can become something great.
