Former Kenyan journalist Jackie Maribe has finally shared her side of the story with the press after the court proved her not guilty in the Monica Murder case.
In a brief interview she had with the press, she urged the public to go read the Bible verse. Maribe, who was accused alongside her ex-lover Jowie Irungu, said she was glad that the truth had finally come out, quoting a Bible verse.
“I don’t know if to say anything; I’ll just say, Go read John 8:32; ‘For you shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free,” Jackie shared. Quoting the section, they should look deep into and learn the truth of the matter, as well as understand how the ruling took place.
Her mother, who was alongside her, urged the press to always seek to know the truth rather than rushing to make conclusions on matters they hadn’t even come into contact with solid evidence at hand.
She concluded by saying that what was ruled was rightfully right and thanked the public for their immense support.
Kenya’s political strategist working under the Kenya Kwanza Government, Dennis Itumbi, who was also in attendance, shed some light on the matter, saying that Jackie Maribe’s arrest was driven by emotional and rushed mentality, something that has been proven wrong today after the judge ruled the case, finding the journalist not guilty.
Dennis Itumbi, who has always stood with Jackie, took to his Twitter account to announce Jackie Maribe’s innocence, and the court’s ruling did also encourage her that, whatever the damage she may have endured over the past 6 years, will not stop her from rising to the top of the mountain again.
“Jacque Maribe is FREE!
Maribe did not kill Monica.
Daaamn! I feel so vindicated!
There was a rogue DCI boss called George Kinoti who craved headlines, and Jacque Maribe was a pawn in his unfortunate game of nonsensical play.
It has been six years, a journey of shadows, where unjust chains sought to bind the spirit of a great friend with a charming personality—a friend I treasure much. Today, the truth has unveiled its brilliance, dispelling the darkness. The darkness of Kinoti lies in an outright script aimed at media headlines and nothing else.
Jacque Maribe, like a phoenix, now you have only one duty: rise from the ashes, for time may be lost, but not the essence of your being. As your friends, our collective hands extend to hold you as you take the next steps. My good friend, Welcome back to the embrace of freedom.
Let the record reflect that you have always been innocent. The system failed you, and the rogue people who added you in this case just for headlines and the creation of a circus should answer, and you must not let them walk out of the mess without questions. I have no regrets that I stood by you.” Dennis Itumbi’s thread was read.
